Fruit of a GREAT harvest, this Italian-style Bordeaux blend represents another great red wine from the Cantina di Venosa. Obtained from red grapes , it ages in French barriques for about six months. In the glass we find a superb wine of the highest level of quality, generous, which welcomes us with its vast aromas.

Age of the vineyards: 18 – 25 years
Production per Ha: 8 Tons
Altitude of the vineyards: 400 – 450 meters.
Production area: North-eastern part of the Province of Potenza delimited by the production specification which includes the territory of n. 15 Municipalities, especially in the Municipality of Venosa Città di Orazio.
Harvest period: From the second decade of September to the first decade of October.
Harvest method: Selection of the grapes, harvested by hand in the early hours of the morning and immediate transport of the same to the cellar.
Vinification: Vinification in small fermenters and skin maceration at temperature
controlled from 23° to 26° C, for approximately 7 days, completion of
alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Organoleptic characteristics and technical comment: It dresses the glass with a beautiful intense ruby red. The nose reveals a complex and deep olfactory bouquet, where the hints of ripe dark fruit, such as raspberry, morello cherry, dried plum and cherry, are enriched by the tertiaries of vanilla, white pepper and tobacco. The palate is soft and full-bodied, warm and enveloping, fine and elegant in tannic texture, balanced and long-lasting.
Food pairing and serving temperature: Wine for roasts, typical first courses of Mediterranean cuisine, game and mature cheeses. It is suggested to serve at 16° – 18°C.
